Your freshman year of high school is a very critical year. It is the first year that your grades will really start counting toward graduation. All of the classes you take this year are Michigan Graduation Requirements which means you have to pass all of your classes this year in order to be on track for Graduation in 2022. The grades you earn in your classes will be calculated into a cumulative grade point average (GPA) and will follow you from the start of your 9th grade year all the way through graduation. Colleges and Universities use your High School GPA as one of the deciding factors for admission.

- Studying - Some of your classes may require additional time outside of the classroom to learn the material. Different ways of studying can include flashcards, reviewing notes or completed assignments, completing a review/study guide, practicing math problems, having someone quiz you and more.
