In order to be considered a 10th grader you must start the school year with 5.0 credits. If you passed all of your classes in the 9th grade your 10th grade schedule will look something like the one above. If you failed a class you will most likely be repeating it this year. If you have questions about repeating a class please see your counselor.
Testing
In the Spring you will take the PSAT 10 test. The new PSAT/NMSQT and the PSAT 10 will give students access to free personalized SAT study. With students’ explicit permission, Khan Academy will use their PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 results to create a study plan especially for them.

Once you are in 10th grade you will have the option of taking the ASVAB Career Exploration test. It is a career planning and exploration program that combines a multiple-aptitude test with an interest self-assessment and a wide range of career exploration tools. This test will be offered in January and students may sign up for the test in the counseling office. Taking the ASVAB Career Exploration test does not mean that you will be contacted by Military branches. If you are interested in enlisting in the Military after high school you must contact the branch you are interested in. Please see the counselor if you have more questions.
